It is absolutely Superb! The Cajun spices tantalized my tongue with enough zip to make it spicy but not so spicy that it dulled my senses. As usual all HOT food is served on a HOT plate the aroma in the restaurant is mouth watering I cant wait to go back there it has been way to long i need some queso and a pitcher of Margaritas!!!!! with Love Loyal Liz a customer since opening!!

Connecticut Nachos

I spent last Saturday braving the cold and rain at the outlets for Christmas shopping and googled 'local top-rated restaurants', which brought me to the top of the page to 'Cuckoo's Nest' and naturally because it read authentic Mexican cuisine, I being an enthusiast of all foods Mexican could not resist. The restaurant is located right off of the interstate, has plenty of parking and has this rustic, home charm on the outside. When I walked inside I was nervous, because I have not been dining outside of my home since the pandemic, but other diners recommend a superb place to eat, so there I am, walking into a festive, holiday lit dining area where the other guests a seated away from each other and I in a corner booth; the table and chairs were very clean and they have a scan app to view the menu so I did not have to touch a paper one. My server was very prompt and knowledgeable with the drink and food menu as I try to figure out how to narrow down this delectable menu! My margarita came with a paper straw, which as an environmentally-conscious person appreciated. I started with the Connecticut Nachos with their hand made guacamole. The beef was seasoned just right, the platter was huge, enough for at least two and of course the guacamole which is my favorite nacho topping, was heaven; chunks of fresh avocado and that pop of citrus from the lime was amazing. I would pair with the house Margarita, you will not regret it! I left full and completely at ease that I was in a place that shared in safety guidelines at all times and made me feel welcomed to eat in a public place after 8 months!

Enchiladas

I usually get the Enchiladas dish every time. It's delicious! Now that I see you've expanded the menu, there are a few things I'd like to try. The complimentary tortilla chips with salsa is always a plus. The waitress was very sweet. Wish there were more Cuckoo's Nests.

Monterrey Salad

Omg. I haven had cuckoo's food since the pandemic began...and we are regulars. So great to have curb side pickup. Margaritas are to die for...and my huband had the steak bomb. Loved it. My mouth was missing the fresh salsa and chips. A million thank yous! It was easy and safe feeling for us to do curbside. But can't wait to side and b÷ served there again one day. Thank you Cucks
